You can get to Cordova by boat or plane. The Copper River Highway will guide you through the largest continuous wetland area on the Pacific Coast of North America. Upon the end of the road you will find Alaska's most spectacular calving glacier and the historical Million Dollar Bridge. Side roads are worth exploring and wildlife abounds you. There are 35 miles of Forest Service trails that will take your breath away. Wild river rafting tours, bus tours, kayaking and canoeing are available for visitors to enjoy. You can also hire charter boats for deep sea fishing or sightseeing.
Attractions

Elias National Park:
At 13.2 million acres it is the nation's largest national park. Formed by plate tectonics and shaped by glaciers, you will see that some of these mountains rise vertically with an elevation gain greater than that of the Himalayas.
Copper River Highway:
From here you can view the Child Glacier and the Million Dollar Bridge built in 1910. The wildlife along the highway is a sight to see as well. You may see black and brown bears, moose, mountain goats, beaver and many species of birds during your journey alon this highway.

Museum:
Located on First street. Here visitors can view native artifacts and information about early explorers as well as exhibits of the mining and the railroad in relation to expansion of the town.
