Tromso, the largest city above the Arctic Circle at 70 degrees north and the site of the Arctic Cathedral, an astounding church which glistens in the Midnight Sun. Tromsoe is located on a forest-covered island that is serviced by a 3,398 ft bridge. Tromso is the capital of Northern Norway and known as the Paris of Scandinavia. The major industries in Tromsų are fisheries and tourism. Cruise passengers will find its spectacular scenery of mountains and fjords breathtaking. A prosperous city with a large student population. Tromso lies within the Arctic Circle, so visitors can experience the beauty of 24-hour daylight during the summer months. Other attractions include the Domkirke Cathedral, Arctic Cathedral, the Northern Lights Planetarium, the Arctic Ocean Cathedral, and a cable car ride that shares perspectives on life above the Arctic Circle.

Tromsoe Marine Aquarium:
North Norway's largest museum. Visit the exhibitions and get acuainted with animals and birds from North Norway and the Arctic. Have a look at the exciting fossils and dinosaurs.
Polar Museum:
Located in the old preserved and protected customs building built in the 1830's. It is the centre of the old part of town, near the old quaysides and warehouses. The museum has interesting informative exhibitions about polar explorers and hunters.
