This charming Canadian city is located on the southeastern tip of Vancouver Island and is a port call for cruises beginning in Seattle or San Francisco. This is a picture perfect city full of old world charm, beautiful gardens and charming homes. Arriving into the capital of British Columbia will take you a step back in time. An earlier era emphasized by the city’s Victorian architecture and very proper atmosphere is present. Founded as a British outpost in 1843 by James Douglas it was first known as Fort Victoria. It is often said that Victoria is more British than perhaps Great Britain herself.
