Climate and current weather information for Vancouver: Summer months of July and August have the most pleasant daytime temperatures with an average of 73°F/23°C. Days are usually long, warm and sunny. Nights are cool and clear. Spring and Fall are also comfortable, with moderate temperatures and occasional rain.
Spring starts early in Vancouver, and gardens coming alive with color in March and daffodils blooming as early as late February. Temperatures through both spring and fall are, naturally, cooler than in summer, but in many ways these are prime travel periods. June and September are especially pleasant, as crowds are minimal. The average daytime temperature during both April and October is 57°F/14°C.

Gastown
Named for the saloonkeeper “Gassy” Jack Deighton it is a charming historic district filled with plenty of shops and restaurants located on cobblestone streets and traditionally lit by gaslights. It is very close to Canada Place and is a highly suggested "must see".
Granville Island
A shopper’s heaven! Filled with boutiques, souvenir shops, art studios, and coffee houses.
Vancouver's Chinatown
One of North America’s largest! This is a historic district with Chinese architecture and the notable Dr. Sun Yat-sen Garden.
Stanley Parks
1,000 acres in downtown Vancouver that is home to totem poles, rose gardens, a children’s water park, hiking trails, and a yacht club. Rent a bicycle, it is a great way to explore the park and see the views of Lions Gate Bridge.
Queen Elizabeth Park
Located at the highest southern vantage point in the city, this park offers breathtaking views and an enclosed tropical rain forest and aviary.
Capilano Suspension Bridge
An elevating thrill! Walk across the highest and longest swaying footbridge in the world.
Grouse Mountain’s Grouse Grind
A 2,880-foot climb! For those who make it the views from the top are stunning. There are hiking trails on the top. Ariel tram rides are available for the ride back down.
