Kona, one of the most popular islands in Hawaii lies on the western side of the island of Hawaii and is knows as "Sleepy Kona". Known for breathtaking sunsets. Kona is becoming as popular as Waikiki, yet not as touristy! The main attraction on Kona is sports-fishing and the Mokuaikuau Church. This is the oldest church in Hawaii. Also an important part of history is the King Kamehameha I Heiau (Hulihee Palace) now a museum and was at one time the summer residence of royalty. Kaupulehu Cave and the small white monument near Napoopoo mark the spot where Captain Cook died. The only coffee grown commercially in the U.S. is grown in Hawaii, with the best of these coffees comes from the Kona district. Kona offers some of the best fishing in the entire world.

Going back to the days of Hawaii's monarchy, West Hawaii has been an ideal spot regardless of your interests. This region is free from highly populated centers like Honolulu, yet still offering a wide variety of activities & products.
