Malaga is situated on Spain's Costa del Sol. It is the busy port city and capital of Andalusia. As cruise passengers will discover, it is a very popular holiday getaway and one of the most important commercial seaports of Spain.
This city dates back to the Phoenicians, which gives this capital city a rich history. This intriguing and ancient city bears evidence of the Carthaginians, Romans, Visigoths, and Moors who in the past occupied the region.
Today, Malaga is a natural, wonderful place to explore and is a starting point to nearby Granada, site of the legendary Alhambra.
