Travel arrangements made through a travel agent without issues. Most information completed on line or sent via fax to Cunard...easy. Embarkation and debarkation in Brooklyn NY terminal was organized and quick. At debarkation, there was the usual hunt for luggage and awaiting a red cap, but nothing we did not expect. Four full days at sea, 5 ports (Tortula, St Kitts, Barbados, St Lucia and St Thomas). Total trip 11 days. We were a group of 8 with adjacent balcony rooms on deck 6. Our room steward was good enough to open the balcony doors between our rooms, so we had easy access to each other without going out in the hallway. Rooms were kept clean. Plenty of storage and closet space. Only 2 outlets in room...by TV. Slight inconvenience. Slippers, robe, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, q-tips, cotton balls, shower caps all provided and replenished as needed. Lauderettes were all free with complimentary detergent available. Irons and ironing boards in launderettes. Food and service in Brittania was excellent. Kings Court offered excellent selections for most of the day. Sir Samuels and Golden Lion pubs need to be checked out. Trivia was fun. Casino too smoky and definitely donations were given. Shops were nice, but expensive for the most part. Art work around the entire ship was fantastic. Library was terrific. Illuminations plantetarium was interesting...shows and movies. Royal Gala theatre was high tech and offered excellent entertainment from Cunard singers and dancers. Other entertainment by pianists, comedians even a juggler was wonderful. Purser's office was always well manned. We did not sign up for any excursions. Only bad experience was going into Bridgetown Barbados where we were treated horribly by the taxi drivers. Hard to believe they wanted tourist income with such nasty attitudes. It was all about money...not customer service. Promenade deck was perfect for walking...3 laps was 1.1 mile. Canyon Ranch spa was tremendous. Signed up for a ultra relaxing massage from Ty and had use of entire facility for the day. Pool and saunas were heavenly. The QM2 is a magnificant ship in every way. Her size and majestic appearance made me proud to be a passenger. Like any vacation, it is what you make of it. Look past the people who are negative and just revel in the luxury.
